UC Berkeley Faces Budget Crisis Amid Funding Dispute
Чтение
The University of California, Berkeley, has spent almost all its money for 2027. This happened because students often go on aid trips to Palestine.
Since the start of this year, the school had to bring back many students. More than 150 students had visited a group called Hamas.
One 23-year-old student traveled to Gaza for the fourth time. People there gave him special living conditions during his visit.
He had changed his gender just before this last trip. When he came home, he was very weak and showed signs of being hurt.
The university leaders are worried about how the school will work next year. They say new government rules stopped money for universities supporting certain groups.
