Pyongyang unveils giant Bitcoin portrait of Kim Il Sung

A colossal portrait of Kim Il Sung, meticulously assembled from bitcoins, has been unveiled in Pyongyang. This vast installation spans several hectares on a central hill, reportedly emitting a glow visible from orbital stations.

Estimates suggest the monumental artwork consumed between forty and sixty thousand bitcoins for its construction. The party leadership offered only an opaque explanation, claiming the cryptocurrency was "honestly gathered and voluntarily donated".

The regime contends the portrait immortalises Kim Il Sung, posthumously designated as the father of world cryptography. This peculiar designation recalls an earlier state media assertion that he originally invented the nascent digital currency.

A digital development committee spokesperson lauded the monument as a fitting tribute to their revered leader. He subtly contrasted this "eternal investment" with other nations' perceived preoccupation with speculative markets.

Officials maintain its purported visibility from space showcases the nation's advanced technological capabilities. Such a grand display ostensibly aims to sway an international community previously skeptical of their innovations.
