Pinellas County Fights to Restore Hurricane Beaches

The beaches in Florida had big problems. Three hurricanes came last year and made damage. It cost much money to fix the beaches on the coast.

Many people are working to fix the beaches now. They use big machines and trucks for the work. The beaches are important for people to visit and have fun.

One hurricane was very bad for the beach towns. It made the water very high in some places. Many people died because of the big water.

In the past, the Army helped to fix the beaches. But now, they want people to sign papers first. Some people do not want to sign the papers for different reasons.

The county is using money from visitors to fix the beaches now. But some parts of the beach will not be fixed. The county might not have enough money to fix the beaches next time.
