Germany arrests eight people in a big operation against a far-right militant group.
Reading
Police in Germany arrested eight people who were part of a far-right group. This group, called Saxonian Separatists, hated people of different races and Jews.
The group did not like Germany's way of running things and thought Germany would soon fail. They planned to take over the state of Saxony and use rules similar to those used by Nazis.
The Justice Minister said these people also thought about killing large groups of people who were not like them. He added that these arrests show that there are many threats to peace and democracy in Germany.
Over 450 police officers searched many places and arrested the group leaders in different parts of Saxony. The group trained in fighting and had weapons and gear for battle.
Other people were looked into but not arrested in these police actions. In the past, other groups have also tried to attack the government in Germany.
