Six Turkish military people die in helicopter crash after midair collision.

Two helicopters from the Turkish military crashed into each other during a training flight. One helicopter fell down and six people died, but the other helicopter landed without any problems.

Five people died immediately at the crash site, and one person died later in the hospital. The crash happened in Isparta, a province in southwestern Turkey, during a routine training exercise.

The governor of the region, Abdullah Erin, said that the accident happened during a normal training flight. A brigadier general, who was in charge of the military aviation school, was among those who died in the crash.

DHA, a private news agency, reported that the UH-1 utility helicopter crashed in a field and broke into two pieces. The other helicopter managed to land safely about 400 meters away from the crash site.
