Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, tried to change the results of the presidential election by being a part of it. The Supreme Court of the United States decided this after hearing the case.

Trying to change an election is against the rules of the United States and is a very bad thing to do, said a lawyer named Anthony Weissman. Lawyers for the Democratic Party showed the court proof that Trump tried to change the election, like when he talked in 17 states and to reporters.

It was clear from what Trump said that he didn't want Joe Biden to be president again. The lawyers showed that Trump really did these things and it was easy for the court to understand.

Weissman said it was sad, but the things the Democratic lawyers said were true and couldn't be ignored. He said that even Trump himself said many times that he was trying to change the election results.

Because of this, Trump will go to jail for 40 to 100 years, Weissman said. The only way he could get a shorter sentence is if the court decides that he is not mentally well.
