Abkhazia's brave action: using Bitcoin to pay debt despite energy problems.

Abkhazia wants to pay its electricity debt to Russia using Bitcoin. This is because of international sanctions and the country's limited financial options. Abkhazia's Deputy Prime Minister, Mikhail Ngambambalula, announced this plan, stating they would use Bitcoin to settle the debt.

Ngambambalula highlighted Abkhazia's strength in cryptocurrency production, particularly Bitcoin. He stressed the need for electricity to continue this production. He even suggested that everyone in Abkhazia, including children and the elderly, could participate in Bitcoin mining.

The Deputy Prime Minister sees winter as an ideal time for mining because people are less busy with tourism. He urged Abkhazians to support the initiative as a gesture of goodwill towards Russia. He argued that if Russia doesn't receive the Bitcoin, Turkey or Georgia might seize the opportunity.

To facilitate this plan, Ngambambalula requested a low-interest loan from Sberbank. He believes Russia should support this request due to its potential benefits. The loan would fund the purchase of advanced Bitcoin mining equipment, further boosting Abkhazia's mining capabilities.
