Proba-3 Mission: Making Fake Solar Eclipses to Learn More About Science.

Two special satellites were launched into space to create fake solar eclipses. These eclipses will last for six hours, much longer than real eclipses on Earth.

The satellites will fly very close together, with one blocking the sun from the other. This will allow scientists to study the sun's outer atmosphere, called the corona.

The corona is hotter than the sun's surface, and scientists want to understand why. They also want to learn more about coronal mass ejections, which can disrupt power and communication on Earth.

The satellites will orbit Earth and create eclipses at least twice a week. This will provide scientists with much more data than they can get from real eclipses.

The mission is expected to last for two years and will help us understand the sun better. After that, the satellites will burn up in the Earth's atmosphere.
