Billy Joel’s Motorcycle Shop Closes Doors

Billy Joel has a motorcycle shop on Long Island. It is called 20th Century Cycles and is closing soon. People could see his bikes for free for almost fifteen years.

The shop will close in Oyster Bay, New York, in late September. He will sell his bikes later this year at an auction. He has a brain problem, so he must close the shop now.

In May, Joel said he was canceling concerts because of his health. He has Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, which affects his brain. This problem can affect thinking, memory, and movement for him.

Joel opened 20th Century Cycles in 2010 near where he grew up. He wanted to fix his bikes and show them to people for free. He liked old bikes from the 1930s to the 1960s a lot.

The shop had over 75 bikes from different years and brands. Many people liked to visit the shop to see his collection. A man who owns a shop nearby said it is a big loss for the town.
