Zelenskyy says Russia broke the Easter ceasefire with continued attacks.

Ukraine's President Zelenskyy said Russia is faking a ceasefire for Easter. He claims Russia kept attacking after Putin said there would be a truce. Zelenskyy stated that the Russian army is pretending to stop fighting, but they are still trying to attack in some areas.

Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces saw many Russian attacks, even after the ceasefire was announced. He also noted Russia is using more heavy weapons. However, he was happy that there were no air raid sirens.

Zelenskyy said some Ukrainian soldiers died in a Russian attack in Donetsk. He promised the Russian soldiers involved will be punished. Russia's Defense Ministry claims Ukraine attacked them, despite the ceasefire, causing civilian casualties.

Zelenskyy wants Russia to follow the ceasefire completely. He offered to extend the truce, but Russia has not responded. He believes Putin might not control his army or Russia is just seeking good publicity, not peace.

Putin went to an Easter service after announcing the ceasefire. The US State Department wants a real and complete ceasefire. They mentioned peace talks in Paris and the US Secretary of State talked to Russia about it.
