Tennessee's law requiring age checks on porn sites is kept despite legal fights.

A group of judges decided that Tennessee can start making sure people who visit porn websites are old enough. This decision comes as the U.S. Supreme Court looks at a similar law from Texas. The Tennessee law was stopped earlier by another judge who thought it wouldn't really help keep kids away from bad content.

Some groups that make adult videos think the Tennessee law and laws in other states are wrong. These groups are fighting these laws in court. The judges said the district judge did not prove that the bad parts of the law were more important than the good parts. They think the law is mainly to protect kids from easy access to porn.

Other courts have also allowed similar laws in Texas and Indiana to go ahead. This came after a decision from the Supreme Court that let Texas keep its law while the court looks at the issue. The website Pornhub stopped letting people in Tennessee use it after the judges' decision. It already blocked access in 16 other states with similar rules.

Tennessee's law says porn websites must check if visitors are 18 or older. Websites could use photos or some other data to check someone's age. The law requires checking ages on websites where at least one-third of the content is not good for kids.

A judge said Tennessee's law might not really stop kids from seeing adult content because they could use VPNs or find it in other internet places. The law might also affect a website that teaches about sexual health. Tennessee's Attorney General thinks the law is good because it passed without any votes against it in the state's government. He said it's to keep harmful content away from kids and make sure adult websites are just for adults.
