Scientists studied dinosaur poop and throw-up to learn how dinosaurs took over the Earth. They found out that it took a really long time, about 30 million years!

The scientists looked at hundreds of poop samples to see what dinosaurs ate. They found that the first dinosaurs were not picky eaters and ate lots of different things.

Dinosaurs were also good at changing their diet when the weather changed. For example, plant-eating dinosaurs could eat many kinds of plants, so they did well when new plants grew.

This study only looked at fossils from one place, Poland. The scientists want to see if the same is true in other parts of the world.

Studying poop might seem silly, but it can tell us a lot about how animals lived. The poop fossils had fish scales, insect parts, and bone pieces inside, which helped scientists learn what dinosaurs ate.
