CDC restarts important health reports and looks at how wildfires affect health.

The report about the Los Angeles wildfires found that fewer people went to the emergency room during the fires, possibly because they left the area or sought care elsewhere. Experts are still waiting for reports on other important health issues, like the bird flu.

The MMWR has been published every week since 1961 and is a key way for the CDC to communicate with doctors, researchers, and other health professionals. Some people are concerned that the Trump administration's attempt to interfere with the MMWR could happen again and make it harder to get accurate information about health threats.
