Fortnite players start getting refunds after a settlement with the FTC.

Some people who play Fortnite are getting money back. This is because the company that makes Fortnite, Epic Games, tricked people into buying things they didn't want. The company has to pay a lot of money because of this, and some of that money is going back to the players.

One way Epic Games tricked people was by putting buttons in the game that made people buy things by accident. For example, someone might try to wake up their game and accidentally buy something because a button was in the wrong place.

Epic Games also got in trouble for taking information from kids without asking their parents. This is against the law, so they had to pay even more money for that.

The first group of people who asked for their money back are starting to get it now. Some people are getting checks in the mail, and others are getting money through PayPal.
