Tennis Clinics Empower Individuals with Disabilities

Before the U.S. Open final, something special happened. People with disabilities played tennis on the courts early in the day. They learned how to play and had fun at Flushing Meadows.
The USTA and Beautiful Lives Project worked together. This project helps people with disabilities play sports. They give them chances to try new activities like tennis.
Tony Gionfriddo said they get better with each shot. He is the leader of Beautiful Lives Project. He said they may not have had this chance before to play.
This event is in its third year, and more people want to join. About 100 people took part this year, which is much bigger than past years. This shows more people want to play tennis.
Tennis helps people in many ways, like twin sisters Skarlett and Skylar Scott. Their mother sees they are doing better since they started. She loves the clinic because their motor skills are getting better.
