Rising heat is a big problem in India. Ahmedabad temperatures have reached 107 degrees already. In 2010, a heat wave killed over 1,300 people. The city made a plan to help people deal with the heat.

The plan started in 2013 and is now used in other places. It helps hospitals, officials, and people react to high temperatures. Officials have used simple ideas to help people. They paint roofs with special paint and use sprinklers at bus stops.

The special paint helps keep houses cooler. People who work outside also get relief from the heat at bus stops. Akashbhai Thakor says his house is cooler after painting the roof. Priya Bhavsar says these solutions help people who can't buy air conditioning.
