The Hard Lives of Coltan Miners in Congo.

In Congo, many men work hard. They dig for coltan at the Rubaya mine. Coltan is used to make phones and computers.

Rubaya is in eastern Congo. This area has many minerals but also much fighting. Government soldiers and other groups cause problems.

The US is trying to help Congo and Rwanda make peace. Congo wants America to help stop the fighting. Congo will give America access to minerals in return for safety.

Bahati Moïse buys coltan from the miners. He wants the miners to be valued. He says the miners' lives are hard even though they dig for important minerals.

He said that the world uses the coltan mined in Congo. He wishes things could be better for the miners. They should not have to keep living like this.
