Terror Attack Hits Manchester Synagogue on Yom Kippur

A man used a car to hurt people at a building. The building was a Jewish place in England. The man then used a knife to attack people. The police said it was a terror attack, and people died. Three other people were badly hurt in the attack.

The attack happened on a special Jewish holiday. This holiday is called Yom Kippur, a very important day. It happened near Manchester, in the northwest of England. The police got a call about the attack at 9:31 a.m. They arrived quickly to help the people there.

When police got there, people were safe inside the building. The people had locked the doors to keep safe. The police said it was a very bad attack. The police shot and killed the man at 9:38 a.m. He had something that looked like a bomb, but it was fake.

The police said two people died in the attack. Their names were Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz; they were worshipers. Adrian Daulby was accidentally shot by police. Melvin Cravitz was killed outside of the building by the attacker. He was a very kind person who helped people.

The police said the attacker was Jihad Al-Shamie, age 35. He was from Syria but lived in the UK and was a citizen. He may have been influenced by extreme ideology. Many leaders said the attack was very bad. They want to protect Jewish people and stop hate.
