The Webb telescope and another one in Chile helped. They looked at a young star called HOPS-315. It is far away, but like our sun, only much younger.
The team saw solid pieces forming in the gas around the star. These are signs of planets starting to form. They found materials needed to make planets like the ones in our solar system.
It’s not known how many planets may form around HOPS-315. It might have many planets later. Scientists want to find more systems like this one, to see if other Earth-like planets exist.
