Police kill man with knife in Moers as violence increases.

A man was shot dead by the police in western Germany after he threatened people on the street. He tried to attack the police with two knives when they found him.

The shooting happened in the afternoon in a town called Moers, near two bigger cities. Police were called because a man was attacking and threatening others.

The police found the man and he attacked them with knives. The man, a 26-year-old from Germany, was shot and killed by the police.

A few days earlier, a violent attack happened at a festival in Solingen, the same region. Three people died and eight were injured by a man with a knife.

The attacker turned himself in, and he was believed to follow a dangerous group. After this attack, the leader of Germany said he would make the laws about knives stricter and send away some people who do not have permission to stay.
