Tesla Sales Drop in Europe Amid Political Backlash

Tesla's car sales in Europe went down a lot last month. The sales decreased by half, which is a big drop. This happened even though more people are buying electric cars now.

The sales numbers show Tesla is having some problems. Many people do not like what the CEO, Elon Musk, is saying. His far-right views are making people not want to buy Tesla cars.

Tesla sold only 7,261 cars in Europe in April. Last year, they sold 14,228 cars in the same month. This is a decrease of 49% in 32 European countries.

At the same time, other companies are selling more electric cars. Sales of electric cars from all companies went up by 28%. Sales of regular cars that use gasoline are going down.

Tesla is also facing more competition from other electric car companies. Chinese electric car companies are selling more cars. A Chinese company called SAIC sold 54% more cars in April.
