China now has the world's strongest supercomputer. This is the first time since 2017 it reached the top.

The computer is called LineShine and is in Shenzhen, China. It is now number one on the TOP500 list.

LineShine can do 2.198 exaflops, which is very fast. This means it does over 2 quintillion calculations per second.

El Capitan from the U.S. is now the second most powerful. Other U.S. and German computers are also in the top five.

LineShine uses only standard computer chips, not graphics chips. It needs much electricity, about 42.2 megawatts to operate.
