Louisiana is having an election on November 5th to see who will get its eight electoral votes for President. There are also elections for the U.S. House of Representatives and two statewide issues on the ballot.

Most of Louisiana's U.S. House of Representatives districts are expected to be won by Republicans. The election on November 5th is unusual because it's an open primary for everything except the President, meaning the main election hasn't happened yet for those other races.
