Hershey will not raise prices for Halloween candy. This is good news for people who like candy. But, the company will raise prices later this fall for other candies. They said this is because cocoa costs more now.

Hershey makes candies like Reese's and Whoppers. Some candies will have smaller sizes now. Other candies will cost more money to buy in stores. The price increase will be a little high.

Other chocolate companies are also raising their prices. Lindt raised prices by almost sixteen percent. Nestle also raised prices for things like chocolate chips. These companies say cocoa is very expensive.

Cocoa prices have gone up a lot in the last two years. This is because of bad weather and sickness in Africa. West Africa makes most of the world's cocoa supply. Cocoa prices change up and down often.

Chocolate bars cost more money in stores now. People are buying less chocolate because of this. The US might also add taxes to cocoa from other countries. This could make chocolate even more expensive.
