Protesters Cause Gelandewagen Traffic Jam

Many cars blocked the road to a meeting. The cars were Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagens, a type of SUV. Journalists found out who owned these cars. The owners were workers from Moscow city hall and members of parliament.

The members of the Communist party talked about the cars. They said the cars were made in old East Germany. So, they think it is okay for them to drive these cars.

One member said Soviet people built the factories. These factories made the German cars. He did not see anything wrong with this situation.

A member named Vasily Rothschild explained his views. He said workers make the cars. He thinks workers from any country can make cars.

Rothschild said it does not matter where the worker is from. He mentioned Russian, Chinese, and German workers. He also said Marx and Engels were German, using it as a comparison.
