Kiss sells their music collection to a company in Sweden: New digital characters, a movie about their life, and more are coming.

Kiss, a famous rock band, sold their music and brand to a Swedish company called Pophouse Entertainment Group for over $300 million. This company was started by a member of the band ABBA, and they had worked with Kiss before.

At their last concert, Kiss showed everyone digital versions of themselves, made with help from a special-effects company. This work was a bit like what was done for an ABBA show, where digital versions of ABBA performed a concert.

Pophouse, the new owner of Kiss's things, has plans to make a movie, a documentary, and a special Kiss experience. There's also going to be a show with the digital Kiss avatars in 2027, and it will start in North America.

The man in charge of Pophouse said they bought Kiss's stuff to share their music with new people and do it differently than big music companies. Even though Pophouse owns Kiss's rights, they will work closely with the band and share ideas.

Kiss said they won't tour anymore and stressed that their deal with Pophouse is a team effort, not just selling out. And Kiss isn't the only band Pophouse has worked with; they also have a project with Cyndi Lauper to create new kinds of shows for her music.
